The Difference Between Revocation and Suspension

In Illinois, getting your license back after it has been revoked involves more than paying a reinstatement fee. Unlike a suspended license, which you can count on getting back after a specified period of time, regaining a revoked license requires a hearing with the Secretary of State. At this hearing, you will have to show that reinstating your license is in the interest of public safety. The vast majority of people who attend these hearings without a qualified Illinois DUI/DWI defense lawyer are denied.

Grounds for a Hardship License
